Dancer Field Trip

On October 1st, 2019 we traveled to New York City with the dancers. The drive took about an hour to go from Livingston, NJ to the city. Once we arrived, we went up to the high line and we began taking photos of the dancers. Specifically, the dancers began to engage in active motions like jumping and making abstract poses. Afterwards, we continued to the vessel, (the interesting structure that was recently built), and we ate lunch. There, I went to lunch with my friends Simon, Torin, Colin, and Matt. Afterwards, we continued to take photos of the dancers until around 2 pm in the afternoon.  In total, I took around 70 photos of the dancers,(which were very interesting). Afterwards, we went back to NA where we joined our last period classes.

Richard Avedon was born in the city of New York on May 15, 1923. Avedon was born to a Russian-Jewish family that originally were immigrants. Avedon began his photo carrier in 1944, where he quickly became well known to the public eye. Avedon went on to take pictures of several famous people including Dwight D. Eisenhower, Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, Ezra Pound, Isak Dinesen, and Buster Keaton. Notably, Avedon created his own book, "American West" in 1985 and it includes some of Avedon's most famous work. One Day Assignment

       In this project, NA photo students were asked to go to 2 certain spots and take photos there for 10 minutes. These photos include pictures of a Ford Mustang as well as a Kia Sorento in the middle school parking lot. Additionally, the last two pictures were taken in the courtyard in the front of the school.
